- The virus infects the host cell by injecting its genetic material once inside the body.
- Excellent question! As you can see Sars-CoV-2 virus enters the body via the mouth, and eyes as well as skin penetration.
- So sir, a virus has its own genetic material?
- When the virus multiplies and spreads into newer cells, the host cell will eventually die. This is what happens when the body is diseased.
- Yes, it does. They hijack the cell after infecting it with the virus to allow replication and even being hidden from the immune system.
