- The estates general had a meering
- But they locked the Third Estate out of the building
- So the third estate went into a tennis court and vowed to stay there until a constitution was made
- The third estate then stormed a prison called the Bastille. They said they wanted to save the prisoners but it was obvious that their main goal was to make a statement to the king. After this, the third estate started their own nation called the National Assembly
- The king wanted them back in the country, so they decided to make a constitution that allowed the third estate to be treated fairly in the estates general
- A guy named Robespierre decided to overthrow the king and execute him
- During his "Reign of Terror", Robespierre executed thousand of innocent people
