Storyboard Text

  • It began with Santa Anna leading large amount of army into Texas.
  • The two armies met at the Alamo.
  • Although Texans won most of the battles during the Texas Revolutions, the most famous among all was one that Texans lost: the Alamo.
  • Almost all Texans in the battle died, which makes it seems like the Mexican won completely.
  • At the same time, General Houston's army needed time to organize. Therefore, William B. Travis and James Bowie had to lead an army first.
  • I will crush all Texans!
  • This battle made Texans more determined to fight back Santa Anna and it gave Houston time to organize his army. Therefore, although Texans lost this battle, it was important to Texans winning the revolution 
  • The Texans fought for 2 weeks bravely. However, in the end they lost because there was too many Mexicans.
  • On March 19th, James Fannin led his army to the Creek and was surrounded by Urrea's army. Fannin ran away, and the Texas army surrendered.
  • This led to the Goliad Massacre, where 350 Texas soldiers were killed.
