- Hello my name is Adam and today we are going to talk about unit 3 on human environmental interaction and the way humans adapt and modify our environment.
- Look! Were is a what the area looked like before the trees were cut down and the area was made into a university.This is an example of deforestation which means the taking away of a forest and making into a home or a gym.
- An other type of natural disaster is a tsunami which causes water from the sea to flood the land.
- To start off this unit, we are going to talk about the types of natural disasters.Here you have a hurricane.
- This here is a basement. Us humans have adapted to having tornadoes with the use of a basement to protect us underground.
- We also like to depend on resources like transportation like this bus. We have modified the roads and signs to allow buses like these to get people to places without the use of a car.
- Another way a forest area can be destroyed or removed is the slash and burn process. Which is a pratcie where an area that looks like nothing is growing anymore, farmers will burn it and start again. By planting things such as tree and bush seeds as well as vegetation.
