The Stamp Act in 1765 happened when the parliament made a new law. All printed things will be taxed including newspapers, legal documents, and playing cards.
Declaration of Independance
The Quartering Act in 1767 happened when the British sent a group of soldiers to settle in the city. They did this so the colonies would follow the rules. When they housed the soldiers it cost money which made the colonial taxes increase.
The Tea Act in 1773 allowed companies to stop selling tea to the colonies except for the British east Indian company. Since there was already a tax on tea they did not earn that much money from this act. The Tea Act lowered the price of tea. The colonist saw this as a trick and did not buy tea from them, because it would be like they were accepting the British right to charge taxes.
