- There is a package in front of the door of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis. The package is sealed with tape, their names and address printed by hand. Inside the box is a push-button fastened to a small wooden box. The button in the box is used to push to get a reward of $50,000 dollars after killing someone you don’t know.
- Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lewis, 217 E. Thirty-seventh Street, New York, New York 10016
- Mr. Steward will check up on you at 8:00 P.M.
- Norma is debating wether she should actually push the button or not. She can’t stop thinking about the reward that she can obtain if she does push the button. She doesn’t seem to care at all about killing someone to get a reward of $50,000. She thinks this is a chance for them to finally take the trip to Europe they’ve always been talking about and a chance to buy a cottage on an Island.
- Norma is debating whether she should actually push the button or not. She only cares about the reward she has been offered not caring about killing someone she doesn’t know.
- The point is, if it’s someone you’ve never seen in your life and never will see, someone’s whose death you don’t even have to know about, you still wouldn’t push the button?
- Are you saying what I think you are?
- After pushing the button, Norma finds out that the person who died because of her was actually her husband, Arthur.
- You said I wouldn’t know the one that died!
- My dear lady, do you really think you knew your husband
- Mr. Steward, will call on you at 8:00 P.M.
- Mr. Steward will call on you at 8:00 P.M
