Storyboard Text

  • Title: The battle of Athenians and Persians.
  • Detail 2: The Greeks crushed the weaker Persian foot soldiers by routing the wings before turning towards the center of the Persian line.  The remnants of the Persian army went to their ships and left the battle. 6,400 Persia bodies were counted on the battlefield; the Athenians lost only 192 men.
  • Description component: They fought on the Marathon plain of northeastern Attica.
  • Detail 1: Atherian and Persian fought 492-449 B.C.E.
