- This was when Walter came home from the bar completely drunk while Beneatha was listening to African music and Walter makes a fool of him self being silly.
- Lindner coming to speak to the Youngers to try and negotiate about the new house
- NO, get out !
- i will pay you more than you paid for the whole house just to not move in
- goerge comes to pivk up beneatha for a date and while he was waiting walter was talking to him as he was very drunk, then once beneatha came out her hair was cut off becuase she wants it to be "natural", everyone was surprised.
- mama came home late and so did travis a little later but everyone was wondering where mama went and would tell travis first because she was surprising everyone with the new house all though its not in the best neighbor hood

- Lindner comes in and sits down and starts talking to the youngers about the new house and talking about the neighbor hood, but it caught the Youngers very off guard when he said they should't move and they should rethink the house and he will pay them more money to not move than they did for the whole house.
- Mormons are members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was founded by Joseph Smith in New York, 1830. They believed properties should be owned by common. They also allowed men to have multiple wives. Angry non-Mormons killed Joseph Smith in Illinois, 1844. Brigham Young becomes the new Mormon leader. He then establishes a refuge at Great Salt Lake in Utah, Designs plans for Salt Lake City, becomes governor of Utah territory, 1850, and took land from Native Americans. Utah then became a state in 1896.
- John Sutter discovers gold on his land in Northern California, 1848 and the word then spreads to San Francisco. A whole bunch of people from a lot of different then rush to Northern California to find their fortunes. There was more than 80,000 people who traveled to California in 1849 to mine gold. They used gold fields, panning for gold, and underground mines. Only a few got rich, but thousands establish houses in California. California then joins the US in 1850
