The upper class controls a sizable portion of the nations wealth. There are two different categories in the upper class: "Old money" which is families who have been wealthy for generations and "New money" which is people who are newly rich through their own efforts.
The Working Class
The upper middle class consists of high income business people and professionals. They typically have a collage degree, buy large houses and expensive cars, go on yearly vacations, and pay for their children's education.
The Working Poor
The lower middle class hold white-collar jobs that don't involve manual labor. These people live comfortable, but have to work hard to keep it. Nurses and low level managers are typically in the lower middle class.
The Underclass
The working class hold jobs that require manual labor like factory workers, tradespeople, and less skilled workers. Some working class jobs make more money than lower middle class, but these jobs are less prestigious.
The working poor hold the lowest paying jobs that are seasonal like housecleaning and migrant form work. These people rarely make a living wage, and rely on government programs.
The underclass are families who have held unemployment and poverty for generations. They work sometimes but at undesirable jobs that have low income. The primary source of income is public assistance and everyday is a struggle.
