  • Jeremy is the speaker/information sender while Mike is the receiver. Jeremy also comes up with an idea and form it into a question which is an example of encoding. Mike breaks down the question to answer it which is an example of decoding.
  • Do you want anything from the food court?
  • Mike is telling Jeremy about the movie and Jeremy is giving him feedback and replying to his thoughts.

  • Oh, sorry. Yea can you get my a drink?
  • Jeremy asks Mike a question but Jeremy is too focused on the movie because of how loud the movie theater is. This is an example of an external barrier.

  • Wow, that was a really great movie;
  • Jeremy is asking Mike if he wants anything to eat, and Mike is not giving Jeremy a proper answer because his attention is going towards the movie. This is an example of an internal barrier because all his interests are going towards the movie at that time.

  • Mike finally took in Jeremeys question and gave him a proper answer. this is an example of the channel.
  • They both finish the movie and give out their opinions.
