- The Knights of labor wanted to stop the 12-hour workdays, they wanted justice for all the workers in the US. they also wanted the abolition of child labor, improved safety in factories, equal pay for men and women, and compensation for on-the-job injury.

- The knights head to the federal government and get everything set up to talk about fixing the 12-hour work shifts and to protect the workers

- Everyone was peacefully protesting because they all wanted to be treated equally and have the same work hours. Everyone is equal with everything was a peaceful protest.

- But then all these people protesting got into a bombing, a large massacre happened this day killing 8 people and injuring 8.
