- Melissa! I'm so glad to catch up with you. How have you and the new baby been?
- We have been just wonderful!! Although it is hard being a new mom, I am just trying to do what is best for my son. Anyways, I heard you were pregnant?!!
- Yes, I am. I was just about to tell you! Since you're a new mom, can I get your opinion on something?
- Of course Monica! What is it that you want to ask?
- What are your thoughts on circumcision? I have heard bad things about it.
- Oh I would have to say the opposite. My husband and I were all for getting our baby boy circumcised. We did not even question our decision.
- Okay so tell me a little more about it because I am skeptical.
- We definitely wanted our little boy circumcised because it prevents so many infections that could happen later on in life like a urinary tract infection.
- That infection does sounds pretty painful, but wont it hurt my baby really bad to get circumcised?
- Many people are concerned about that...but it would be done at such a young age that he would not remember it
- I have also heard that circumcision can cause bleeding and possibly infection. Is that true?
- There is always risk when it comes to any procedure. We just felt like the risk was worth the reward. Thanks for chatting today. I hope I helped.
