Storyboard Text

  • During WW1 we had it rough. We didn't have money to buy food for our animals and grow more produce. There was a high demand for produce because the Military was in need for it. We had to put in extra work to keep food coming each day. While we were doing that we started to increase in supplies to keep everything running and help out.
  • After WW1 we really didn't have anything left and we were lost. Our Agricultural products sank a lot and prices weren't good. The farm incomes we needed to keep the farm up and going for people shrank. We ended up being plunged and fell into heavy dept and poverty. We were scared that we would not have nothing left and would haft to live on the streets for the rest of our lives after the war.
  • To make things worse in 1930 we had a big dust storm that lasted for six years. Our crops were damaged and our animals died and the crops were full of dirt and couldn't even be seen. The dust bowl drove us to seek new opportunities instead of suffering without anything. The paint of our red farm turned to white from all the dust in the air hitting the farm. We tried to get all the dirt from the dust bowl off our farm and produce but it was just too much to handle.
