Okay class, today we will be learning about newtons 3 laws of physics! Lets go outside.
Newtons first law is that an object moving at a constant speed in a straight line will continue to travel in that line, unless acted upon by a force
This soccer ball will stay still unlesss someone comes up and kicks or throws it, and once it is kicked it will remain at a constant pace until someone kicks it
This law states that once this ball is kicked, it will stay in motion unless another force collides with it such as someone else kicking it or it landing in the goal.
Newtons second law states that the force on an object is equal to its mass times its acceleration. This law is how we calculate the force of different objects
For example, to calculate the force of this soccer ball we would find the mass first, lets say that the mass is 450 grams. then we would see how much it accelerates, and from there we could figure out the force of the ball
In this scenario there might be 2 people that are the same height and weight that are going for the ball, but since they both have the same amount of force the ball wouldn't move very much.
Newtons 3rd and final law is that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction
Wow! This is so cool!
I think recess would be a lot more fun than physics.
Okay class. I hope you enjoyed that because what could possibly be more fun than physics!!!
