His parents moved to Hong Kong, as his dad was a well respected opera singer. Bruce would spend majority of his childhood here.

It was during the Long Beach Karate Championships where he was approach by a celebrity hair stylist Jay Sebring, who told his client, William Dozer about Bruce Lees talents

Bruce Lee inevitably got cast as Kato in the Green Hornet. The Show was very sucsessful but Bruce felt that bas an Asian-Amercian actor, he was being stereotyped and his character lacked depth

Bruce Lee was able to break out of these stereotypes in his 'Enter the Dragon', where it was one of the first time an Asian-American played a main role in Western TV. And from then on his success just skyrocketed
