- My family has always been huge horror fans. One Saturday every month, we would watch 2-3 movies. I remember the first one we watched was World War Z, and our favorites came to be Saw and Scream. However, while all my siblings were in middle or high school, I was still a younger elementary schooler, so these movies seemed 10x scarier to me.

- I would be unable to sleep every night when I was 8, convinced that monsters were hunting me. I would always hear noises outside my bedroom, something scraping against the window. Of course, now I know that it was tree branches, but back then, I was sure that the claws of a monster were trying to break through the glass.

- I eventually got over my fear by the time I reached 6th grade and slept peacefully everyday. But one day, while I was playing with my friends in my backyard, I noticed a peculiar hole. Being curious kids, we excitedly grabbed some snow shovels from my garage and dug further into the ground. At the time, we thought we would chance upon a cute animal nesting in the ground.
