- We are currently in Dharavi, it is a slum. We are all poor and our houses are illegal. About one million people are tightly packed into this slum. It is the largest slum in the world and diseases are spread very easily.
- Hi, I'm Jasmine, and this is my house in the slum. It isn't much, but we can survive. A delicious curry is in the oven, and we are about to eat it on the floor. Our sleeping area is in the corner, and the yellow bed is mine because I work the hardest. Our favorite TV show is Mr. Bean. Sometimes, you can hear rats squeaking in the night! But we are used to it.
- Suppose you're wondering why i'm in a boxing outfit. Well, it is be because I am fighting on to to my job! We work so hard in Dharavi, working 24 hours to bring back money for food for our families to survive. Everyone has a business in Dharavi: making things, cooking,recycling, and much more! Well most of us. I am sorting out all the plastic and food waste. Almost everything can be recycled in this place!
