- The show of the one and only Josephine Baker.Josephine Baker was one of the first African American entertainers who achieved appluase both in movies and on the stage.¨

- ¨She also served as a member of the French Resistance forces and smuggled messages in her lyrics that were sent back to France from opposing forces.¨
- ¨I want you to know also how proud I am to be here today, and after so many long years of struggle fighting here and elsewhere for your rights, our rights, the rights of humanity, the rights of man, I’m glad that you have accepted me to come.¨(her speech)
- Later in her life Baker returned to America to take part in the Civil Rights Movement. Baker was the only female speaker in 1068 in washington at the time of march. This is where she then honored women civil rights activists.
- ¨She was the only female speaker at the March on Washington in 1968, where she honored women civil rights activists.¨
