Mark walked calmly, as he always did, but Lulu started moving more quickly toward him. She looked down on Mark's face and kids turned to watch what was happening. Mark feelt fear, but he didn’t show it. Instead, his expression was peaceful as always.
“What’s up, Smiley? Think you’re better than everyone else?” Lulu’s voice was louder than usual, she wanted to impress her friends.
Mark looked up at her and smiled gently. “Nope. I just think being angry all the time is harder than being happy,” he said softly but clearly, his calmness surprised everyone.
