I Had 17 days to cover 1300 m to go to the sahara .
In 2008, I became the first Asian to take part in high-altitude speed climbing competition on Mount Elbrus in Russia.
The next morning I I rode 25 km to a beach in tan tan. Then I reached akhfenir.I also found a very affordable place to live in akhfenir. I had wonderful fish for dinner
I stoped in the first day in the tan tan and stayed there as a cheap shelter.
As I rode to tarfaya and the wind turned into a storm. I took shelter from a shop in the middle of nowhere for 2 hrs. Ten I reached layoune, another big city
It was the 4th already and my visa expires in 15th so I had to go quickly .So I went to boujdour which was 190 km from laayoune I met a gentleman named Mr Mahfoud.
ON 14 march I reached No mans island as my visa expired. It dosent belong to any country that's why it is called so. I reached Mauritania and I was swarmed with people tryna sell SIMs and other stuff. On 16 march I started of from nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania. I also saw a ton of miraes. It took me abt an hour to get out of Nouakchott. The roads were really bad.
He invited me to eat with his family. He also shared that I was the first Indian cyclist that he met. I reached Dakhla in good time.
On 21 march I reached Maison du parc in the heart of diawaling National park
As I cycled on I realized that I just crossed the Sahara on my own with no support or help from anyone. It was a really good feeling.
