- Three blocks from here there's a big venue. We can find a taxi there, she told Hugo. Say you have a cigarette? cigarette I don't even know where I put my wallet, Hugo replied, palming his jacket with one hand.
- Besides don't you carry cigarettes in your purse? I would think you're cheap and can't buy your own if I didn't know better. It's so much more fun when a gentlemen offers a lady a cigarette. pg.4
- Reflection pg.4: I chose this scene because it represents how important being a gentlemen is. A man should always show a woman their confidence, understanding, and kindness
- I can't believe you telephoned me at the Tunons. I know you weren't exactly happy that Hugo-

- Reflection pg. 15: Noemi reflects on when she was a little girl, Catalina would read fairy tales to her and would mention The forest where Hansel and Gretel tossed their breadcrumbs or the story about little red riding hood meeting the wolf. Noemi would explain that she would always have an image in her mind of the stories Catalina read to her.
- Reflection pg.5: This scene shows why Noemi came home early from her date with Hugo. Here dad calls her to talk about a family problem. The figurative language being used shows the suspense and how both characters interact with each other. They have to focus on one another's point of view and think about what's more important.
