  • Guy Montag meets Clarisse McClellan
  • Are you happy?
  • Guy Montag witnesses a woman letting herself die in the fire caused by his fellow firemen
  • "'Play the man, Master Ridley; we shall this day light such a candle, by God's grace, in England, as I trust shall never be put out.'" 
  • Guy Montag meets Faber
  • Lets plant books in the firemen's houses, get rid of the fireman structure itself and see their houses burn.
  • Guy Meets Clarisse, a girl who is very upbeat and cheerful. She has a unique perspective on life that's very different from other people in this society. She asks Montag, if he's happy. This is the moment when he begins to realize he is actually not happy.
  • Guy Montag is caught by Captain Beatty
  • Old Montag wanted to fly near the sun and now that he's burnt his damn wings, 
  • This event of a woman sacrificing herself for her books is what deeply disturbed Montag. During all this commotion, he managed to sneak a book inside his firemen coat. This is his turning point of having a few doubts to wanting to take action against the burning and banning of books.
  • Guy Montag kills Captain Beatty and becomes a fugitive on the run
  • Here, to help the hound get off your scent.
  • Guy Montag meets Faber to come up with a plan to start a rebellion against the firemen and banning of books. This is when his feelings and doubts finally come together to take action.
  • Guy Montag finds other people like him to help him in his rebellion against society
  • After meeting Faber, Guy Montag sets out to try and frame the firemen for owning books but Captain Beatty quickly catches up to him. Making Guy Montag burn down his house. Now that his plan has failed, Montag feels that he has nowhere else to go.
  • Captain Beatty pushed Guy Montag over the edge and he suddenly killed Beatty. This is Montag's first real action against the firemen and society. Later, he soon realizes that Captain Beatty wanted to die.
  • Oh god! I'm sorry!
  • In his run from the government, Faber tells him to go down the river and meet a few of these guys who are also rebelling against society. Finally, Montag feels at home and happy with them, knowing that there are others like him.
