Storyboard Text

  • 3A is...
  • How can I teach a lesson where everybody feels welcomed
  • What Does This Mean?
  • Communication is Key
  • What Does it Look Like?
  • Provide culturally and linguistically responsive instruction that respects diversity of ability, age, class, ethnicity, gender, language, race, religion, and sexual orientation to support the academic achievement of all students
  • Why/How the standard is significant in our practice?
  • Culturally inclusive teaching provides students  with equal opportunities to learn, share experiences and succeed at school
  • This means that by always having a constant line of communication with your students helps you improve your lesson so that your students don't feel uncomfortable about what is being taught.  It also means that you should get to know your students because that is what the lesson should be taught with.
  • How do I strive towards this specific standard
  • How can I get my students to learn effectively without pushing them too hard?
  • The teacher talking to his student about how the lesson went today and if they completely understood everything that was taught.
  • Culturally inclusive practice  provides curriculum content and pedagogy at classroom level. This type of learning challenges stereotypes to avoid prejudice and bias.
  • Motivate students by communicating to them to gain a sense of knowledge on how to teach the class. Some students learn slower than others so may have to move at a slower pace if you teach too fast.
