I was born in Geneva Switzerland in 1712. When I was 13 my parents died leaving me on my own.
And When I was 30 I moved to Paris to become a musician and composer, although known for writing human behavior and government.
In 1762 i wrote my book called the social contract.
In my book I share my beliefs and ideas of what makes an effective government. I believe that the government should follow a general will, which is the things that prove the best interest for a society as a whole. And if the people disagree, the government should follow the majority rule or what the majority of people want.
I also believe in a direct Democracy rather than an Absolutist monarchy. that people should give up some of their natural freedom in exchange for protection from the government along with rights for people.
A democracy? That sounds like a good idea if your 13 colonies trying to start their own country.
Why can't you just cut their heads off?
Hurrah, Freedom!
An i think that the people will support my contract as it gives them freedom, benefits, and control over the government. although the government may not support it because they will lose power.
