  • Scene I: The concepts of work, duty, and affection are the main a focus of this scene. Ferdinand feels obligated to Miranda and her father, Prospero, as seen by his effort of carrying logs. Ferdinand is driven to work hard because his love for Miranda, even though he finds the task difficult and tiring.
