Orsino assigns Cesario to try and woo Olivia again on his behalf. Cesario/Viola tries to warn him that Olivia will not accept his love, but Orsino refuses to believe so.
Sir Toby, Sir Andrew, and Fabian hide and watch Malvolio read the fake letter that was dropped by Maria. Malvolio has fallen for the trick.
Sir Toby praises Maria for coming up with this trick. Malvolio believes that Olivia is in love with him and has requested him to do unusual things.
