After raiding the people of Cicones and having 72 men killed, and escaping the Lotus Eaters on the island of Djerba, Odysseus and his men arrive at the land of the Cyclopes. On this island, they feast on wine and goat cheese. After a couple of days, they make the decision to explore the island.
