- St Ignatius became a page in the service of a powerful relative in 1506. In medieval times, a page was an attendant to a nobleman, a knight, a Governor or castellan.young boy served as a page for about seven years, running messages, serving, cleaning clothing and weapons, St Ignatius was a page for, Lucas De Vazquez who was a very powerful relative.

- St. Ignatius of Loyola’s leg was shattered by a cannonball in the Battle of Pamplona in 1521. Because of that cannonball, the damage it left and his own vanity (he had bone in the leg removed after it had initially healed to remove an unsightly bump), he had a lengthy healing process. As a result, for the rest of his life, one leg was shorter than the other.

- St Ignatius was the founder of the jesuits, another name for the Jesuits is The Society of Jesus. With the approval from Pope Paul lll in 1540. The Jesuits were officially formed. The idea first started in 1534. It took 6 years for it to get approved by Pope Paul lll. St Ignatius founded it with the help of: Francis Xavier, Peter Faber, Simão Rodrigues, Alfonso Salmeron, Diego Laynez and Nicholas Bobadilla.
