On the delightful morning of June 27, the villagers began to gather by the post office and the bank for The Lottery.
Climax
After everyone's names had been drawn, all the slips of paper were opened. Everyone was trying to figure out who had the big, black dot on their paper. It was Mr. Hutchinson.

Kids were playing innocently and women were coming out to greet their husbands. Mr. Summers, the lottery official, placed a stool and a box in the middle of the square.
Falling Action
So everyone in the Hutchinson family went up and chose a paper, again they opened the slips. It was Tessie. It's not fair! She shouted, Everybody saw that. But her fate had already been decided.

Mr. Summers cleared his throat and began to call out names. He started with the head of the households, so the men went forward. They kept their papers in their hands, nervously licking their lips.
Resolution/Denouement
The villagers went to the stone piles the kids had made, and suddenly, the were upon her.
