- Kannagi was finishing her daily chores when a women approached her saying " Your husband was executed by the palace guards.Kannagi fainted
- When Kannagi got consciousness she went to the court to seek justice.
- As Kannagi broke open the anklet gems busted from the anklet, The king watched in horror as there were no gems in the queen anklets. The king said "It is I who am the thief let me depart my life now" and he died. Seeing this the queen also died
