- Bathrooms in Dharavi don't look like this. In fact, we don't have bathrooms at all. One toilet in Dharavi is shared by over 1400 people and sewage pipes are open everywhere. Normally, people don't even use a toilet, they just go anywhere seeing as the sewage pipes are open.
- Dharavi is a great place to live as the people here are very nice, but it also is not because there is terrible living conditions here.
- There are many slums around the world, particularly in India. Dharavi is located in Mumbai. The people here are very sociable although that can just hide the fact that we have a lack of sanitation and no vaccines. The price to go to school is very expensive so parents usually choose one child to go to school. There are also no taxes here although rent is not that much. Everywhere you go, there are massive compounds of rubbish and most of the water is contaminated.
- On the high street, there are several shops, including a chemist. Some places even sell televisions or things like that. The electricity we use here is illegal as we technically steal it. It is very dangerous because people climb up the houses with the wires that they have unpicked.
