- in 1519, the Spanish conquistador Hernan Cortes came into Tenochtitlan. He and soldiers or military were welcomed by the Aztec emperor Moctezuma II, once they found out about the horrible sacrifices and ceremonies it lead to wars. Cortes took Moctezuma hostage and then the Aztecs rebelled against the Spanish.

- The war between the Aztecs and the Spanish which started by Cortes started from 1519 to 1521. It was a challenging time for both sides. Aztecs had an amazing and interesting weaponry. They were skilled warriors and used a variety of weapons in battle. One of their best weapons in my opinion was the macuahuitl, which was a wooden club with sharp obsidian sharp blades. This weapon create cuts in skin and was highly effective.The Aztecs also used spears, called tepoztopilli, and bows and arrows. They had a unique weapon called the atlatl, which was a spear weapon. On the other hand, the Spanish brought modern and new weaponry that the Aztecs had never seen before. They had guns, cannons, and steel swords, which gave them a head start in the wars. The Spanish also had horses, which the Aztecs had never have seen, making them even more scared.
- The war caused a lot of destruction and chaos. The Aztecs fought hard, but they couldn't withstand the Spanish forces. The city was under siege, and many buildings were destroyed. It was a really tough time for the Aztecs, and their way of life changed forever. Cortes eventually forced the survivors to give birth with the Spanish to strengthen the colony. King Carlos takes away Cortes governorship and created the Mestizos mixed group of people.
