- Abigail,what sort of dancing were you doing with her in the forest?
- why-common dancing is all.
- in this scene, Reverand Hale is interrogating Abigail. He asks what type of dancing she was doing in the woods. He believes that some sort of witchcraft was going on and was trying to get more information out of Abigail. Abigail responds, defending herself by saying that all she was doing was simply common dancing and nothing related to witchcraft.

- She makes me drink blood!!!
- Blood!!!!
- Another instance of Abigail getting interrogated is on page 41. Parris is asking her questions and she admits to drinking blood. This means that some sort of ritual was going on and a great stir is caused. She tells them that it was not her blood but that of a chicken.

- you have confessed yourself to witchcraft, and that speaks a wish to come to heaven's side. And we will bless you, Tituba
- oh,God bless you, Mr.Hale!
- Yet another interrogation occurs when Hale questions Tituba on page 43. He asks her all sorts of questions about witchcraft and the devil. She admits to witchcraft to save herself and Hale says that God forgives her because she is making steps towards heaven. She is relieved that she will not get killed and uses this opportunity to accuse people that she does not lie of witchcraft even if they have minimal or no connection to it at all.
