  • Act 2, Scene 1
  • Pardon me, sir for the tragedy.
  • "She bore a mind that envy could not but call fair. She is drowned already, sir, with salt water, though I seem to drown her remembrance again with more." (2.1.29-32)
  • Act 2, Scene 1
  • I beg you to be your servant!
  • "My bosom is full of kindness, and I am yet so near the manners of my mother that, upon the least occasion more, mine eyes will tell tales of me. I am bound to the Count Orsino's court." (2.1.39-43)
  • Act 2, Scene 2
  • "Come sir, you peevishly threw it to her. and her will is, it should be so returned. If it be worth stooping for, there it lies, in your eye; if not, be it his that finds it." (2.2.13-16)

  • In Illyria, Antonio, a sea captain, saved Sebastian from a shipwreck. Sebastian tells Antonio about his past life. Sebastian believes that his twin sister, Viola, drowned in the shipwreck.
  • Act 2, Scene 2
  • Sir Antonio wants to be Sebastian's servant but, Sebastian did not want him to be his servant. Sebastian heads to Duke Orsino's Court
  • Act 2, Scene 3
  • "My masters, are you mad? Or what are you? Have you no wit, manners, nor honesty, but no gabble like tinkers at this time of night? Do ye make an alehouse of my lady's house, that ye squeak or remorse of voice?" (2.3.87-92)
  • "O the twelfth day of December!"
  • Olivia has sent her ring to Malvolio and requested him to return Cesario's ring to him. Although, the ring belongs to Olivia. Cesario is confused about why Olivia gave her a ring.
  • Act 2, Scene 3
  • "I will plant you two, and let the fool make a third, where he shall find the letter. Observe his construction." (2.3.173-175)
  • After Malvolio left, Cesario analyzes why would Olivia give her ring to him. He realizes that she is in love with him, but he is not really a man but a woman. Cesario is worried about his lord's love.
  • I pity my lord's love. What shall I do?
  • In the middle of the night, Sir Toby, Sir Andrew, Maria, and the Clown were having fun. But Malvolio got annoyed by the loud noise. So he went to them and yelled at them.
  • Everyone Peace!
  • After Malvolio leaves, Maria plans to fool him because he was threatening them that he will tell his lady about this. The plan was to write a fake love letter written in Olivia's writing and leave it in Olivia's garden for Malvolio and make Malvolio believe that his lady Olivia has sent him a love letter.
