Sam and Eric wake up to go set the fire, and they see the man ith the parachute in the trees and think that it is the beast. They run back to the camp and tell everyone what they saw.

After they had seen the Beast and told Ralph, Ralph decided that they go on a hunt and try and get the beast. So he took most of the group out while Piggy and the little uns are left behind.
The boys are reaching a part of the island that they gave not been to yet, and Ralph puts Jack in charge of leading the group through the island. The boys walk up to a small walkway which they are scared to go on, so Ralph investigates alone.
Many of the boys get distracted from their mission, and hang out in the new part of the island. Ralph urges them to go back to the site, but they just ask to stay there.
