  • Slide: 1
  • Whoa. Im really tired.
  • It seems like it. Do you know that Cellular respiration is what causes you to have energy and also causes you to be tired.
  • No i didn't. tell me more
  • Slide: 2
  • Cellular respiration is the process by which cells convert glucose and oxygen into energy. It starts in the cytoplasm with glycolysis, where glucose is broken down into pyruvate, producing a small amount of ATP. The pyruvate then enters the mitochondria, where it is further processed in the Krebs cycle, generating high-energy molecules like NADH and FADH2.
  • Wow. I didn't know it took that much to create energy.
  • There is more. Then, the molecules feed into the electronic transport chain and the molecules create a lot of ATP. Finally, the electrons combine with protein and oxygen to make water
  • Slide: 3
  • Thanks for telling me. One last question. Can you tell me the difference between anaerobic and aerobic respiration.
  • The simple answer is aerobic respiration uses oxygen and anaerobic doesn't. Aerobic uses glycosis, ETC, and the krebs cycle. It creates alot of ATP (also known as energy) While Anerobic doesnt create as much and just stays in the cytoplasm.
  • Thanks for letting me know. See you later!
