Joan was born to a peasant family. However she believed she had been given visions from the archangel Michel to support Charles VII to recover France from English domination.
CHAPTER 03
Charles then sent Joan to the siege of Orléans as part of a relief army, she soon gained prominence for her role after lifting the siege nine days after she arrived.

An assault was was was launched, to which it failed wounding Joan by an arrow, after recovery she participated in a attack of territory on a noble who allied with the English. It started with success, but ended in failure.

Joan assembled a group of volunteers to take back Compiègne, which has been besieged by the Burgundians, she was then captured and was exchanged to the English.
She was put on trial on the charge of heresy and was declared guilty and was burned at stake, she was estimated to be 19 years old then. Her most significant event in her life is her devotion and faith to which led to these events.
Joan was canonized in 1920, and was recognized as secondary patron of France in 1922. She inspired her comrades that moved me to be a good figure to those around me, just as she was to them.
