- What is Tom doing here? What is Gatsby up to?
- WELCOME! Hello Daisy and Nick.. and Tom

- One of the important details of Gatsby's past that shaped the beginning of his ideal life. Dan Cody taught Gatsby about proper education and sophistication, which is what allowed Gatsby to get where he was.
- ... oh and that's Tom Buchanan. He's a.... polo player.
- I would've believed I was more than that
- oh boy
- Seeing Tom at Gatsby's home took back Nick since he knew about Gatsby and Daisy's past relationship. This scene is where Tom's suspicion starts to grow and where he starts watching Daisy and Gatsby more carefully.
- THIS IS SO FUN!
- Gatsby throws another party, in which Daisy attends. Tom decides to go along. Daisy and Gatsby don't seem to really hide what they have.
- Everything is going to be fine. I'm going to fix it. It's all going to be the same again.
- Are you sure about that?
- As Gatsby takes Daisy, Tom, and Nick around introducing them, he throws small negative remarks towards Tom. Basically introducing him as someone of little importance.
- Daisy also throws her fair share of remarks towards Tom. Gatsby and Daisy go on and dance, leaving Tom to feel upset.
- At the end of the party, it was clear nobody really had a good time. Tom was embarrassed, Daisy was overwhelmed, and Nick couldn't enjoy his time due to the tension. Gatsby refused to accept any sort of defeat and claimed he was to fix it all, which didn't sit well with Nick.
