- Hello, Olivia! Haha! This house here is actually a green-house.
- Good morning, Ms. Reyes! May I ask why do you have a small home made out of clear glass?
- Well, it is a glass building designed for the protection of plants that are grown in or out of the season against excessive heat and cold weather. This is one way of cultivating and protecting our environment.
- I don't think I have heard about that term before. What is a green-house?
- Our environment supports and houses our ecosystems, allowing them to grow and thrive. If we fail to protect our environment, we will put the lives of humans, animals, plants and more at risk. Although our world can heal itself, with the destructions that it's continuously experiencing, the self-healing systems are very slow.
- Why do we need to protect our environment? Isn't the world healing itself?
- You can help by doing other things! You can start by following the 3R's or the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle rule when it comes to managing your wastes. You can also start conserving water by being mindful of the water you use while bathing and cleaning. Planting trees is a really good option as well.
- Oh no! What can I do to help? I don't think I have any money to build a green-house?
- Now, that you've learned about the importance of talking care of our environment, you can educate your friends on the other things that they can do to help. The more that we help each other, the faster the earth can heal for the future generations to see.
- What about my friends? How can I convince them to help in their own ways
