- The moment my cousin got caught smoking by my uncle, he brought me in to have a long conversation with them. This was significant to my life and journey because my uncle gave me an eye opening talk about smoking and drugs. Much my Marji, my cousin thought he was grown and thought it was cool. My life would have been different if I never got this speech because I would not have known to stay away from smoking and drugs.
- Marji returning is significant because she thought she was the one who hit rock bottom, but then she realizes how much Iranians had suffered when she was in Vienna. This impacts her life because she got to come back and see all of her family. If she had never gotten a divorce she probably would have never came back to Iran so this is how it impacted her life.
- Returning to Washington township to NC is significant to me because I reunited back with all of my old friends from elementary and middle school. This impacted my journey because when I was at cathedral about to transfer to NC, I did not realize how bad our football team would be, but I fought through all adversity and had 2 pretty good seasons my jr and sr year. My life would have been different maybe because if I never came back I would not have known how to fight throught the adversity of losing every week.
