- Once upon a time in a kingdom, there lived a king and queen who had longed for a child. A beautiful baby girl was born. They named her Aurora and celebrated her birth with a grand feast.
- Climax
- To honor the occasion, the king and queen invited fairies from all around. An evil fairy named Maleficent, who had not been invited, appeared and cast a dark curse on Aurora. She declared that on her 16th birthday, Aurora would prick her finger on a spindle and fall into an eternal sleep.
- Falling Action
- .The king and queen were devastated by the curse, so they sent Aurora away to be raised by three good fairies in a hidden cottage deep in the forest. They changed her name to Briar Rose and kept her identity a secret.
- Resolution
- Years passed, and Briar Rose grew into a beautiful young woman, unaware of her true heritage. On her 16th birthday, she met a handsome prince and they're fell in love.
- The good fairies thought that Aurora had escaped Maleficent's curse so the brought Aurora home to her family. But no one knew that Maleficent was hiding in the palace. As soon as Maleficent saw Aurora, she led her to a room with a gleaming spinning wheel.
- Aurora pricked her finger and fell asleep to the floor. The three fairies found her sleeping on the floor and were heartbroken. They must now find the handsome prince the princess had met in the woods.
