- 5 of January 1066 king Edward died with no heir to the thrown meaning they would have to find someone worthy enough to control a country.

- Harold Hardara arrived and so did Harold Godwinson they where ready for battle, the fighting had begun and Harold Hardara had lost leaving Harold Godwinson the winner of the battle.
- Harold Godwinson returned home with his army they had lost many people in this war but had won all that was left was to prepare for there next battle.
- William of Normandy preparing for his battle agaist the winner of Stanford bridge.
