- Why is he hurting me? I really wish i didn't let him feel my hair, he going to kill me. What if he really did hurt that girl like hes hurting me, and why does he keep going on about tending rabbits.. i think hes going to kill me.
- if she isn't quite i will get in trouble. George wont let me tend the rabbits if i get in trouble and im not doing anythings wrong. I just want her to stop screaming. i wont get to grow no alfalfa and i wont get to tend the rabbits.

- Their keeping what happened to curley a secret but i know what happened. They don't know the power i have over them, i could get them fired fast. i like talking to the men tho they keep me company. They can be rude but the put curley in his place and i loved that.
