- Chapter 4
- I'm going to make a big request of you to-day, so I thought you ought to know something about me.
- Chapter 4
- Gatsby wants to know if you'll invite Daisy to your house some afternoon and then let him come over.
- This is a terrible mistake, a terrible, terrible mistake.
- Chapter 5
- You're just embarrassed, that's all. Daisy is embarrassed, too.
- Gatsby is driving Nick to a restaurant to eat lunch and Gatsby is telling Nick about what he plans to do that day. He had just told Nick that he was in the war and won a decoration from Little Montenegro.
- Chapter 5
- Nick and Jordan are driving through Central Park, talking about Gatsby. Jordan tells Nick about how Gatsby is wanting to see Daisy again and wishes for Nick to assist him.
- Chapter 6
- Gatsby is panicking during this scene as he is nervous about seeing Daisy after 4 years. Nick is trying to calm him down and telling him that Daisy felt the same way.
- Chapter 6
- A lot of these newly rich people are just big bootleggers, you know.
- No, not Gatsby.
- Daisy and Gatsby have gone over to his house and are talking next to the window. Daisy is telling Gatsby what she wishes she could do.
- I'd like to just get one of those pink clouds and put you in it and push you around.
- Nick is at Gatsby's to have a drink. In this scene, Tom and a man named Sloane are arriving to drink with them.
- In this scene, Nick, Tom and Daisy are arriving at another one of Gatsby's parties. As they are about to go in, Tom questions who Gatsby is and why he is so important.
