- The Franks and the Van Daans go into hiding at the Secret Annex. To survive, they have to be quiet during the normal work hours. Miep and Mr. Kraler supply them with food.
- Climax
- An eighth member joins, Mr. Dussel. He and Anne have to share a room and don't get along. Tension is in the air among all until Anne gives everyone gifts for Hanukkah.
- Falling Action
- During a robbery downstairs, Peter drops a lamp and they fear the robber has heard. Mr. Van Daan is caught stealing their limited amount of food at night. Anne and Peter share their first kiss.
- Resolution
- Here, I found this in the Annex. It's Anne's diary.
- The occupants' fear of being discovered becomes a reality. After hiding for two years, the Nazis break down the hidden door and order them to pack one bag each.
- Mr. Frank tries to encourage everyone to be calm and brave. He says,"For the past two years we have lived in fear. Now we can live in hope."

- After being shipped to various concentration camps, Mr. Frank is the only survivor. He returns to the Secret Annex fifteen months later and Miep gives him Anne's diary.
