  • Zebulon Pike described Kansas like a desert. Dry, Sandy not easily cultivating and flat plains. He didn't think people could farm or live her properly.

  • Jackson's Speech was telling everyone that the native americans did not fit with their lifestyle. Also that he didn't care that there were a little over a thousand of them so they didn't matter.
  • When the Indians got removed from their residents they got moved to Kansas. They didn't really know how to survive though so they had to adapt to their surroundings.
