Storyboard Text

  • Principal's Office
  • JADBIN?? Wow, the least you could do was make your imaginary dragon name good! What will my friends say? Carol, your daughter is weird! Carol, your daughter is poisoning mine!
  • It's true, I tell you! Every single word! I was riding Jadbin, and I told him to stop, but he wouldn't listen!
  • Mrs. Bishop, I am sorry to disrupt your evening. However, it had come to my attention that Taylor has walked out of class AGAIN. The teachers do not remember her being here today, and she claims that she was riding dragons AGAIN. These lies MUST come to an end before they-
  • Close-Up of Principal's Hands on Letter on her Desk
  • Miss Bishop also sent me this letter with a photo of a human and a dragon in the same spot. I would say that this is good evidence, except for the fact that DRAGONS DON'T EXIST. I can't believe you would put so much work into trying to trick me into believing such stupid things. I'm disappointed in you, Taylor. So, as a punishment, I want you to research why dragons aren't real and write a 5 paragraph essay so it can be stuck in your mind forever: DRAGONS DON'T EXIST. Thank you for your time, Mrs. Bishop.
  • Dear Principal Wheedler,I would like to present you with 2 photos of my dragon-human friend, Jadbin. He is sweet and caring, handsome and charming. This is his human form: This is his dragon form:So you see, Principal Wheedler, he is real and I am telling the truth. Thank you for understanding, (if you understand at all) and for your time. Sincerely,Taylor
  • Inside of House
  • Must you embarrass me with your stupidity? And you even wrote A LETTER TO THE PRINCIPAL explaining-OH, OKAY, so you're just gonna run off? Yeah sure! You do that well!
  • Taylor Bishop. A 17 year old girl, about to complete high school. At least, that would be the case if Taylor wouldn't have kept telling lies. Principal Wheedler seemed to hate Taylor, but Mrs. Bishop didn't know. She agreed with Principal Wheedler.
  • Mother's Bedroom
  • Honey, I'm home! What's that noise? Oh, it's coming from Taylor's room! That girl...
  • Principal Wheedler even went so far as to show Mrs. Bishop the stupid letter that Taylor had made a day ago. She didn't know WHAT she was thinking. If Wheedler hadn't understood what she meant for so long, why would she understand now?
  • Taylor's Bedroom
  • TAYLOR ROSALIND! What on EARTH are you doing with that boy?! GET OVER HERE. NOW.
  • The second they get home, Mrs. Bishop screams at her daughter so much so that Taylor bursts into tears and runs to her room. Mrs. Bishop brushes it off, not knowing what will happen next...
  • Taylor's Bedroom
  • TAYLORRRRRRR!!!! *Sobs for 20 seconds*Taylor...
  • Close Up Of Letter
  • Dear Mom,I might say some mean things to you, but no matter what I say, I always love you. I just wish...you could be proud of me sometimes, like how my real mom was before she moved to Jadbin's world, Iadhan, and discovered that she was a Punit, a dragon-human, like me and Jadbin. That's right, she didn't die. I know that you stole me out of jealousy. I know that it wasn't her fault that I was left behind with a bunch of bullies. I know that you regreted stealing me instantly and tried to return me out of guilt, but couldn't find Tera. I want to thank you for adopting me, and please come visit me by the enchanted lake sometimes. You can get to it by saying these words: Ikafjad djf. Luckily for you, the enchanted lake is one of the few places in Iadhan where you can breathe for 1-2 hours maximum. I'm really sorry, but I can't live with you anymore. Everyone hates me in Boston and I've been to Iadhan. I fit in there. I feel like I belong. I wish you could live in Iadhan, but you are a human. A mortal. Living in Iadhan will kill you. I love you. Visit soon, Taylor (My birth name is Oerja)
  • Mrs. Bishop got back from her party, still giddy. It was Friday night, and she loved hanging out with her friends and partying, even though she was 40. She came back home to hear noise and light streaming out of Taylor's room. Mrs. Bishop rolled her eyes and stomped to Taylor's room. She opened the door.
  • Mrs. Bishop felt dizzy. She reached for the wall, but couldn't find it, and somehow regained her composure. She couldn't, however, change the look of horror on her face. She managed to shout at Taylor to come away from the blonde boy next to her, but Taylor simply refused. The boy was wearing all black clothes and glasses, even though he didn't need them. It was Jadbin.
  • No. Don't give me that look, you heard me fine. I'm staying with Jadbin. HE doesn't scream at me. HE doesn't make me feel bad about myself. Goodbye. You are my guardian no longer. You never were and will never be my mother. Let's go, love.
  • Taylor jumped onto Jadbin's back and piggy-backed all the way out the open window. Jadbin jumped off, and Mrs. Bishop stared at them falling, paralyzed with shock. She broke down in tears, but then was even more sad when she saw that Taylor was riding a DRAGON that resembled Jadbin. Taylor was telling the truth, but Mrs. Bishop never noticed.
