  • The Three-Fifths Compromise
  • The Three-Fifths Compromise was an agreement made by the North on the South. Since the population was in relation to the amount of power a state had. The North believed that the South would gather way too much power if that plan was to go into effect. The North proposed the the Three-Fifths Compromise, which would count every slave as three-fifths of a person, hence the name. Long story short, it was passed, distributing power equally.
  • This is bad for the South. All we want is equality. I, as a Southerner think that our slaves should be accounted for one by one.
  • The Kansas-Nebraska Act went over the Missouri Compromise, It created two new territories. It also produced a violent riot known as “Bleeding Kansas,” as proslavery and antislavery activists flooded into the territories to encourage a different outcome to the vote.
