When the Europeans arrived, the started to hunt whales in Newfoundland at a unsustainable rate, when the whale population declined, they moved up to Antarctica. The arrival of Europeans deeply effected the Inuit. The Europeans also brought deadly disease with them.

When the Europeans arrived they started the fur trade. Because of the fur trade, they killed an unstable amount of beavers. It weakened their connection with nature.
