  • During the 14th century, the harsh effects of disease and warfare ravaged Europe's society causing the total population to decresase by nearly 25%.
  • The High Middle Ages
  • Represented by the construction of a pyramid, the societies construction of a new hierarchical system emerged introducing serfdom. This benefitted everyone in society opposed to just royalty.
  • The Evolution of Church Power
  • As the fall of the Roman Empire progressed, the development of new ideologies and ways of rule divided societies across Western Europe. This led to a highly fragmented and decentralized colony.

  • After developing the nuances of living in fragmented societies, a strive towards new intellectual, spirtitual, and artistic achievement was seen in the High Middle Ages. This led to the development of new ideologies and systems of living, even introducing familiar faces such as Martin Luther and Nicolaus Copernicus.
  • Due to the church's heavy influence on society, the power vested within its reach stretched far past only religion. The church began to show its prominence in the social, political, and economic productions of society as well.
  • The growth of society led women to introduce themselves to new and already existing expertise. The expansion of job interest showed within society for women began to serve in retail businesses, manufacturing, and other jobs or hobbies that allowed them to provide for their family.
